Unseasonable warmth temperatures will rebound this weekend which would feel like the return of summer in parts of the Midwest and the east.

The eastern parts of the United States began to taste the early winter signs, showing unexpected snow accumulations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New York this week. Freezing temperatures were also recorded. However, reports said the winter this year would be warmer, unlike last year, with less show to expect.

Residents who like warm weather in the Midwest should expect a warm feeling this coming weekend. The unseasonable warmth weather is forecasted to extend until next week.

Moreover, the roller coaster weather is noticeable this month, from chilly temperatures, warm weather, and widespread cooldown. It is also expected to bring rain in Midwest areas to help fight droughts.

In the recent weather report on October 20, 2022, AccuWeather said that some parts would feel noticeably warmer starting Friday to Saturday. The following areas are Charleston, Columbus, Detroit, Pittsburg, Buffalo, and Burlington.

AccuWeather also reported that parts of the East would receive warmer air. In addition, the trend of the warmer temperature would depend on potential storms emerging in the Atlantic.

The report also noted that parts of Chicago would reach the 70s from Friday until Sunday. Meanwhile, parts of Ohio Valley, Tennessee Valley, Great Lakes, and the central Gulf Coast region could experience days without rain.

Starting Saturday night, parts of Atlanta would reach the low 50s.

Furthermore, the AccuWeather forecasts noted the following early next week:

  • Parts of Billings, Denver, El Pasa, and Los Angeles would feel cool temperatures.
  • Memphis, Charlotte, Washington, New York, Boston, and Jacksonville would record mild temperatures.
  • Meanwhile, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Chicago, and Minneapolis could expect wet temperatures.

There is no report of a potential storm that would hit the United States. However, weather agencies are still monitoring the Atlantic basin for the possible development of a tropical system, noting that the tropical season could be far from over.

Meteorological winter

In eastern portions of the United States, forecasts noted the early arrival of meteorological winter. Residents recorded freezing temperatures and snowfall. But meteorologists indicated that there would be fewer flurries of snow to expect than the last year's winter.

While some are used to the cold weather or air breeze, the sudden return to warm temperatures would relieve residents who want the warm weather.

It is important to always check on the heating systems and air conditioning to ensure that both are working properly. Regular checkups and maintenance should be on the calendar.

Always prepare your clothes for winter and summerlike weather. Wear layers of clothes covering your body in times of extreme temperatures.

Monitor your family members for cold-related and heat-related health problems. During cold weather, hypothermia and frostbite are dangerous and common; during warm to near-record-high temperatures, individuals can suffer from stroke and heat fatigue.
