It might be very typical to fight over whether puppies or kittens are cuter. But what about other animals?

We thought wild animals deserved some love, too. We came up with the five cutest wild animals. Read on to know more about them.

1. Fennec Fox

Fennet Fox

Fennec Fox (Vulpes zerda) is a nocturnal desert fox. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince" described this fox as an animal who wanted to be tamed.

This omnivorous mammal is the smallest fox (smaller than the typical domestic cat). It has oversized ears like pumpkin leaves and tiny pointed faces.

Commercial trapping is the greatest threat to fennec foxes. Vulpes zerda is highly sought after the captive pet trade and often caught and put on display for tourists visiting the area.

There are still fennec foxes in Sahara, Morocco, sandy areas of North Africa, and Arabian deserts. It is possible to spot fennec foxes on specific tours in Egypt.

2. Philippine Tarsier

The arboreal, nocturnal Philippine tarsier (Carlito syrichta) has the qualities of "cute." Their enormous eyes are set in a small body no bigger than a human fist. Their tiny paws grasp onto tree branches.

Each tarsier, according to Philippine Tarsier Foundation, needs at least one hectare of space. However, tarsiers are particularly unhappy in captivity.  Tarsiers are known to commit suicide by bashing their skulls when they're too stressed out or when caged in small spaces.

While their suicidal tendencies in when under stress by tourists make their situation unfortunate, the only chance you'll ethically be able to see a tarsier is in the wild.

The Philippine Tarsier Foundation manages the Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary in the forest of Corella, Bohol, where tarsiers roam freely.

3. Giant panda

A person may never stop listing the qualities that make the giant pandas so charming - from the black and white color, fat butt, and the way they chew bamboo.

Consuming up to 38 kilos of bamboo in a single day makes the pandas extremely dependent on their habitat to survive. There are more than 1,800 pandas left in the wild, according to the World Wide Fund.

If you want to see pandas by chance, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base (Chengdu Panda Base) is the best place to see them in China.

4. Alpaca

The alpacas are adored for its gloriously fleecy hair. Their hair also gives them woolly, squeezable looks. Alpacas prefer being with their friends and stay in their known community. They become stressed if separated from their buddies.

You can mingle with these cute, harmless alpacas in Oia Alpaca Café in Taiwan. These furry animals will chew on your clothes if they get too comfortable.

5. Penguin

Penguins

These squat, aquatic birds with their sleek, debonair coats all are excellent swimmers. What's more surprising is that penguins are also excellent runners.

Six of the 17 penguin species live in Antarctica. The most delightful way to call on these birds is through a cruise in the region.

Compagnie du Ponant hosts cruises that depart from the southernmost tip of Argentina to Antarctica. Cruises would usually last for ten days.

A team of on-board naturalists helps you identify Gentoo, Adélie, king, and emperor penguins.

The world is full of pure, innocent, and wonderful creatures. Sadly, some of them are helpless as they look at human beings with angelic eyes and yearn for love and care. It is one of the humans' greatest weaknesses, but they don't mind seeing these creatures.
