The latest weather forecast in Australia said that people in Sydney would experience 30C temperature after the unseasonable wet conditions and cool weather.  

The weather conditions in Australia recorded heat waves, unusually cool weather and flooding this month. Meanwhile, homeowners should stay vigilant as the weather conditions would be best for the funnel spiders. 

Although the cool weather would be ideal for residents in Sydney, it is considered unusual and unseasonable.

According to the Guardian's recent report, La Niña and the Indian Ocean pole helped bring cool conditions and a wetter outlook. 

Unlike El Niño unleashing hotter temperatures, La Niña unfolds colder temperatures. According to experts, the La Niña phenomenon brought cooler temperatures. As La Niña ends this year, the temperature is expected to rise. 

Meanwhile, the Guardian reported that conditions for January could expect cooler weather. In addition, Sydney recorded the wettest year due to relentless rain and flooding. 

The 30C day would also mean the end of the unseasonable cooler weather in the city. 

Funnel spider emergence

On the other hand, 9news.com.au warned that Sydney would have the perfect weather condition for the emergence of funnel spiders. 

The Australian Museum explained that the funnel-web spiders are found in parts of eastern Australia. The report said that some species of the funnel spider are deadly with venom.

The Museum added that it is called Sydneysiders because of the fear associated with the spider emergence. In addition, the report said the mentioned spider species thrive and hide in humid and cool shelters. They can also be seen under rocks, crevices and holes. 

9news.com.au reported that Sydney residents should stay vigilant for the emergence of funnel web spiders.

Although no reported casualty from the said the spider, the report noted residents to catch the spider safely, or they could bring it to the Australian Reptile Park.

Residents should also check their shoes, laundries, or possible areas where the spider could appear as the weather conditions would be ideal for the funnel spiders. 

Flooding and heatwaves

Moreover, ABC News previously reported that portions of Queensland and Eastern NWS suffered from flooding risks due to heavy rain.  

The Australian weather report explained that the two affected areas could experience the wettest months until March. 

Residents should ensure they have an umbrella or raincoat protection as light to moderate rain could unload anytime. 

Meanwhile, the El Niño phenomenon would become challenging for many Australians, bringing a rise in temperatures and prolonged drought.

In the first week of January, CNN World reported that Western Australia suffered from the worst flooding, causing immediate evacuations and emergency concerns for the affected communities.

Heatwaves event is also one of the weather concerns in Australia. During heatwaves, heat-related health risks could occur.
