MyShake App Detects Earthquake Activity From Smartphone
MyShake, a new app created by the University of California at Berkeley and app developers at Deutsche Telekom AG, allows smartphone users to detect nearby earthquake activity sooner and send the information directly to seismologists. The hope is to create a large enough network to provide advanced warnings to areas that lack the technology for earthquake detection.
