A new NASA CubeSat has launched into space and has begun studying a particular class of X-ray light unexplored by scientists.
CubeSats are set to launched to International Space Station in a mission to study the lower thermosphere of the Earth.
It looks like they may need to start building an aviary in space. A Kounotori, which translates from Japanese to "white stork," is currently escorting a flock of fourteen Doves to the International Space Station.

NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative has opened the doors for high school and university students across the nation to get involved in developing cube-shaped “nanosatellites” since it started in 2010. This year, however, marks the first time a K-8 school will be taking part of the initiative and, according to St. Thomas More’s teachers, it’s not just the older kids getting involved.
