According to the NWS San Diego, the gusty Santa Ana winds will cause elevated critical fire weather conditions in Southern California midweek. The strongest winds are expected in the mountainous areas, especially on the Orange County Coast and Santa Barbara County.

Homeowners with travel plans should stay updated with the Santa Ana winds this Halloween. In this week's weather, the main dangers are wildfires, slower commutes, tree damage and localized power outages.

The Santa Ana winds can unfold dry winds in Southern California, especially from September through May. On the weekend, the wind gusts could reach from 40 to 60 mph.

On Sunday, the dry conditions could unfold in the following areas:

• San Francisco
• Fresno
• Las Vegas
• Los Angeles
• San Diego
• Phoenix
• Reno
• Redding

The other areas at risk of Santa Ana winds are Ventura Counties and mountainous regions in Los Angeles. Homeowners can also expect tree damage, including on Halloween home designs.

Wildfires can likely unfold due to dry vegetation, warmer temperatures and strong winds. The Santa Ana event can trigger fire risks in dry areas in Southern California.

Central US Weather: What Can Residents Expect This Weekend?

In the Central US, the latest forecast showed that rainy conditions and ice potential could be possible on the weekend. The rain will offer relief to the drought and dry conditions.

Recently, Central US experienced much-awaited colder conditions, including in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Dever and Minneapolis.
