A 4.8 magnitude earthquake rocked parts of Tuscany and Northeast of Florence in Italy. No initial injuries or casualties have been reported, according to recent news advisories.

Florence, Tuscany. The Northeast Florence in Italy and Tuscany felt the 4.8 magnitude earthquake on Monday. Initial reports showed that no damages or injuries occurred.  

Recent reports show that the 4.8 magnitude quake epicenter was located near Northeast Florence in Marradi.

The Italian Geophysics and Volcanology Institute (INGV) noted that the quake reached 8.4 kilometers depth. No significant damages were reported, as authorities checked for possible injuries or damages.

On May 29, 2012, one of the devastating quakes hit Modena in Northern Italy, reaching over 16 casualties. The said quake resulted in widespread damage to infrastructures and properties.

On December 28, 1908, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck in the Southern Italy. The city of Messina experienced the brunt of the deadly quake and tsunami, leaving over 80,000 casualties and massive damage in the aftermath.
