US Weather Forecast: Powerful, Severe Weather to Hit Central US Amidst Extreme Heat

The latest weather report showed that severe weather conditions are likely in portions of Central US as many Americans deal with the scorching heat.

However, as July ends, people should anticipate for possible severe outlook in the Central US.

According to AccuWeather's forecast, damaging winds and flash flooding could emerge this week.

The threat of severe thunderstorms is accompanied by intense heat in portions of the country, especially in the Southern Plains and Four Corners.

In the latest advisory, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported severe storm conditions could become likely in portions of Central and North Plains.

In the Southeast, heavy rain is possible.

Last week, AccuWeather's outlook showed that isolated tornadoes and localized damaging winds were forecast in Billings, Rapid City and North Platte.

Due to the damaging winds, trees and powerlines could likely be damaged.

Meanwhile, motorists and homeowners should check the weather before going outside, as slower commutes and travel disruptions could happen.

As many struggle with the challenging heat in the country, the latest forecast said that severe thunderstorms risk and flooding downpours could emerge in Sioux Falls, Helena and Kansas City.

In South Florida, NWS Miami reported that potential showers and thunderstorms could erupt in the region.

Meanwhile, NWS added that comfortable high temperatures are forecast in the Northeast, Northwest and Upper Midwest.

Furthermore, AccuWeather's forecast added that isolated tornadoes and hail conditions could occur in Miles City, Rapid City, St. Louis, Omaha, Memphis, Casper, Denver and Cheyenne.

On Tuesday, the latest forecast said that severe thunderstorms would continue in Rapid City, Des Moines, Casper and Scottsbluff.

Extreme heat conditions

The NWS Weather Prediction Center advisory revealed that dangerous heat could unfold in Lower Mississippi Valley, Southern Plains, Central US and Gulf Coast.

The advisory said that more than 100 million people in the US could feel the dangerous heat index this week.

In addition, the forecast said that hotter conditions could be likely in the following areas:

Eastern Texas, ArkLaTex
Louisiana, Southern Mississippi
Oklahoma, Odessa, and Austin

Due to the scorching heat outlook, Americans could suffer heat-related health risks as the oppressive heat index unfolds.

Homeowners should monitor their family members' body temperatures, especially those with no cooling systems. Staying hydrated is also helpful in preventing any possible risks.
