Health for all was the theme of World Health Day 2023, which is held annually on April 7. It focuses on the need for universal health care and highlights the importance of addressing global health disparities.

World Health Day dates back to the First Health Assembly in 1948. In 1950 it officially became World Health Day to better raise awareness of the most critical areas of concern for the World Health Organization. 

Through its quality products and grassroots business model, the direct selling company has empowered millions of entrepreneurs in over 100 countries worldwide. It also has a presence in over 25 countries worldwide through branch offices, agency partnerships, subsidiaries, and franchisees.

Is QNET a Scamming Company?

Despite 25 years of success, the direct selling company has been accused of being a scam or pyramid scheme, especially in parts of the world with emerging economies where the direct selling business model needs to be understood. 

Social, economic, and environmental disparities can produce health inequalities, particularly in developing countries with restricted health care assets. QNET offers products intended to improve the well-being of people who struggle to access important nutrients and vitamins.

Expanding Its Global Footprint

Continuing its quest to empower communities globally, the direct selling company launched in South Africa in March 2023. The World Federation of Direct Selling Associations stated South Africa's direct selling industry had over 1.7 million independent representatives in 2020 and generated more than $2.2 billion in retail sales.

In South Africa, QNET offers a range of products for health and wellness, personal care, and luxury watches. Malou Caluza, the CEO, stated that the direct selling company has "been involved in the sub-Saharan Africa region for nearly 15 years, witnessing the growth of the direct selling industry in East and West Africa.

"Establishing a presence in South Africa was a natural step for QNET. Joining a thriving industry here opens up exciting opportunities for us. We hope to build a community of fans around our life-enhancing products and services here and aim to source local products that we can take to our global customers."

The company's South Africa office has four employees who manage operations, logistics, and customer support. They will also oversee expansion plans as the direct selling business expands.

Caluza said the lack of awareness and legal framework "to help the public differentiate between the genuine companies and pyramid schemes" is a challenge. However, QNET is not a scamming company. And it's recognized as a member of the Direct Selling Association in multiple countries. It's also a member of the Hong Kong Health Food Association and the Health Supplements Industry Association of Singapore.
