Californians experienced severe weather conditions this month, from heavy snow and flooding rainfall. This week, storm-weary Californians could expect a short break from back-to-back storms.

Although spring season is near, Californians received more snow and rain this March due to rounds of winter storms that unload in the region.

Recently, CNN reported that some Californians became stranded inside their homes due to heavy snow, causing prolonged power outages. About 13 counties were under a state of emergency due to the weather.

In other parts of the United States, NWS Weather Prediction Center also reported that winter storms are forecast in the Central Plains and Upper Midwest.

  • The latest advisory added the possibility of lake-effect snow this Friday and Saturday.
  • Nebraska, Upper Mississippi Valley, Lake Superior and Central Minnesota could expect heavy snow this week.

Although the forecast said that parts of California could expect a break from severe storms, homeowners and motorists could still expect a stormy outlook next week.

The weather forecasts monitored the possibility of challenging weather in parts of California next week, unloading heavy snow and rain.

Moreover, the weather conditions in California improved the prolonged drought in the region. Reuters reported that the rain and snow helped important reservoirs in California.
