The latest weather forecasts said the Southern United States would feel an early taste of spring this week, noting the record-challenging heat.

From tornado outbreaks and severe thunderstorms, the South is no stranger to changing weather events.

While some parts of the United States felt the bursts of snow and winter storms, ideal weather conditions would unfold in the South for residents and communities.

Just this month, residents in Texas suffered from a troublesome ice storm that caused widespread power outages and cold. According to an Associated Press report, Texans dealt with the extreme cold without power.

According to AccuWeather's latest weather forecast (Feb. 23, 2023), the South will experience a record-shattering heat this week. The big warmup would unleash widespread 70s and 80s.

There is also a chance to surpass daily warmth records in the South.

Although there is a low chance of rain, commuters and travelers should bring an umbrella for unexpected rounds of rain.

Meanwhile, the rebound to warm temperatures is forecast in New Orleans, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville and Richmond from Wednesday to Thursday.

  •  Sudden warmth is also expected in Florida Peninsula, Virginia and Washington D.C.

While the Western U.S., Midwest and Northeast experience colder arctic air, the temperatures in parts of Charlotte, North Carolina and Raleigh would expect a hotter outlook this week.

In addition, warmer temperatures will stay until Friday. The weather outlook would become ideal for outdoor activities and commutes in the South.

On the contrary, the National Weather Service reported that severe thunderstorms with damaging winds are expected in Missouri, Western Illinois, Oklahoma and Western Arkansas this week.

Moreover, the National Weather Prediction Center reported that a massive and developing winter storm would unfold in parts of the Upper Midwest and Northeast this week.

The challenging weather advisory would unleash freezing rain, blizzard conditions and heavy snow.

Motorists and commuters in the Upper Midwest and Northeast should anticipate a problematic commute due to possible road hazards.
