According to AccuWeather's forecast (Feb. 18, 2023), the blast of arctic air would bring colder to extreme temperatures, especially at night.

The arctic air is expected to spread in Seattle, San Francisco and Fargo, which could unleash an unseasonably cold outlook.

The weather forecasts noted that the deep freeze would unleash on Feb. 23 or until Feb. 26. Chances of snow and wintry pattern are also possible.

Meanwhile, the snowstorm is expected in Seattle, Eugene, Salt Lake and San Francisco until Wednesday.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that winter storms would also unfold in the Upper Midwest, New England and the Rockies next week.

What to do during the deep freeze weather

Weather forecasts reported millions of Americans are at risk of winter storms and snowstorms until next week.

The powerful storms can cause significant power outages and travel delays this week. In addition, the freezing conditions could become challenging for motorists and people with pre-existing medical conditions.

Here are essential health tips during the deep freeze in the United States.

Staying warm under extreme cold

According to American Red Cross and the CDC, staying warm during winter storms is crucial, as freezing conditions can cause widespread power outages.

Homeowners should ensure that they monitor their family member's health status and temperatures during a deep freeze.

Meanwhile, wearing layered clothes would help you stay warm during challenging weather. Hypothermia and frostbite would become more common.

Heating system and hot water bottles

Heating systems are helpful during extreme weather conditions, although it is expensive.

Monitoring for possible repairs and maintenance is essential for heating systems to ensure all work during the winter season.

Recently, Associated Press (AP) reported that a severe ice storm resulted in widespread power outages in Texas, making it more difficult for residents to deal with the weather.

Keeping extra blankets and water bottles would ease the troublesome extreme cold.
