Tropical Cyclone Cheneso Unleashes Days of Flooding Rainfall, Damaging Winds in Madagascar

According to AccuWeather's latest news (Feb. 1, 2023), Tropical Cyclone Cheneso unloaded in Madagascar, causing flooding rainfall for about ten days.

The cyclone made landfall in the town of Anthalaha on Jan. 19, 2023.The report said the tropical cyclone recorded the storm's wind gusts, reaching 105 mph (170 km/h).

Due to the rounds of rain, many residents suffered from flooding and significant damage. AccuWeather reported that the casualties from the relentless cyclone reached at least 30 people.

Reports showed that there are still missing people due to the extreme weather.

The flooding rainfall resulted in road closures, travel disruptions and damage to homes after collapsing. The report noted that about 37,000 homes were affected due to the weather conditions.
