The freezing rain and ice conditions in Southern Ontario would become problematic for many motorists and homeowners as forecasts said it is expected to continue this week.

Ice conditions are one of the challenges for commuters, resulting in significant travel delays and slower commutes.

This week, people are advised to allow extra time and patience while on the roads.

The latest weather forecast from the The Weather Network showed that Southern Ontario would experience ice and freezing start of the week due to Colorado lows.

Residents and motorists in Southern Ontario should keep updated with the weather, especially since freezing rainfall could unload travel concerns and difficulty.

According to the weather forecast, portions of Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) could expect freezing conditions starting Tuesday.

Based on the weather outlook, The Weather Network showed that freezing rain accumulation could unleash, which could continue this week.

It is expected to unload from light to moderate freezing rainfall in Hamilton, Kitchener, Orangeville, Barrie, Parry Sound, Bancroft, Ottawa and Kingston.

In the overall forecast, the report added that the conditions would remain light this week.

However, motorists should still be careful in traveling.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast said that the rainy conditions had resulted in school cancellations.

Bus school travel disruptions were also reported in Huron-Perth, Grey county, Orangeville, Dufferin and George town.

On the other hand, the report added that portions of Atlantic Canada have experienced the same weather in Southern Ontario.

Meanwhile, the CBC reported that ski lovers in portions of Southern Ontario were hopeful that the winter conditions in the region would improve.

The freezing mark is important for the snow in ski resorts.

The report from The Guardian said that the United Kingdom could anticipate heavy snow this week.

Forecast noted that the snow could affect the power lines due to freezing conditions.

Residents in the UK are advised to check their temperatures due to regularly extremely cold temperatures.

Heavy snow in the Colorado region

Recently, AccuWeather reported that the winter storm is expected to impact portions of Colorado and Denver, bringing a swath of snow in the region.

The weather forecast also warned that the area could result in significant travel disruption and blowing snow.

According to the weather forecast, heavy mountain snow is expected in portions of Colorado starting Monday, especially in Wolf Creek Pass.

The weather forecast noted that more snow could unload from Tuesday night to Thursday, causing reduced visibility and hazards.

  • Freezing rain could unload in parts of Kansas, Southern Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska.
