The winter season marks the excitement for more snowfall in  New York City. However, according to the latest weather report, NYC explained the lack of measurable snowfall this season, adding that current records showed that snowfall appeared lower than last year.

Recent weather news showed that heavy lake-effect snow impacted portions of New York City in November and December 2022. Buffalo City received the worst impact, causing significant travel delays and restrictions.

In addition, the blast of arctic air in New York City also helped to unfold colder temperatures in December 2022.

The NWS report also added that a trace of snow was recorded in Central Park and Kennedy, New York.

On the other hand, the NWS New York Satellite Forecast (As of January 10) showed that New York City could expect cloudy weather, adding that the normal high temperatures could reach 40 next week.
