The weekend weather will be cool and pleasant in the northern US. The following week, low pressure slowly moves through the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

On Saturday, there will be pleasant conditions and mostly sunny skies with low humidity and highs of 80 degrees.

Lows on Saturday night will be 54 degrees, with clear to partly cloudy skies.

On Sunday, there would be more clouds than the sun, but it will still be pleasant with highs and lows, respectively, of 80 and 62 degrees.

Forecast Overview

The Northern US region is getting ready to relax under some really pleasant weather all weekend long now that the heat and humidity are both gone. Through Sunday, expect the most pleasant weather in more than a month, with partly to mostly sunny skies, comfortably warm highs-around 80 degrees each afternoon-and refreshingly low humidity levels. In contrast to the muggy, 70-something-degree nights that the area has sweated through over the past month, the nights are now even cozier, with terrific sleeping weather and cool, comfortable 50s.

Early the following week, as a low-pressure system slowly moves through the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, things start to change. It looks a little bit cloudier, cooler, and at least slightly unsettled Monday and Tuesday. There will be gradual improvements for the rest of the week depending on the storm's precise track, but it may bring a more beneficial and soaking rain. Residents will get to enjoy the respite from the summer mugginess as the 90-degree heat appears to stay away from the area for at least the coming week.

Weekend

The weekend weather will be dry and pleasant thanks to the high pressure that will remain in the sky. On Saturday, skies should be mostly sunny, and on Sunday, skies should be partly sunny with more clouds in the afternoon. With daytime highs in the mid to upper 80s and evening lows in the mid to upper 50s, the DC area should feel comfortably warm. Enjoy the pleasant weekend weather and the peaceful nights. Uncertain weather appears to be developing early next week.

Starting the Next Week

Anticipate an unsettled pattern on Monday and Tuesday with plenty of clouds and the possibility of showers and storms from an upper-level low that appears to be forming over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic US. The track, speed, and strength of the upper level low will determine how much rain falls, with either some relatively steady and significant rains if the low tracks close by or just a few isolated showers and a few thunderstorms when it stays more to the south and east. With highs only in the mid-70s early next week, temperatures are likely to remain lower than average due to the cloud formation and rain chances.

End of the Week

By the middle of the week, that upper-level low ought to have left and be offshore or moving up towards New England. As a result, expect that the weather will gradually get better, with Wednesday through Friday seeing a mix of clouds and sunshine and continuing to be a comfortable temperature. After a chilly start to the week, highs should gradually return to being closer to 80 degrees, with lows being near 60. On Wednesday and Thursday, there is a slim possibility of a shower or thunderstorm, particularly if that upper low is not too far to our northeast. But since we prevent the heat and humidity from returning for the duration of next week, much of the time appears dry, 69WTMZ-TV News reports.
