However, as England experienced extraordinary temperatures last month, with records broken and highs of 40.3C, TV meteorologists have found themselves on the front lines of the climate culture war (104.5F), as per The Guardian.

She has 200,000 Twitter followers and is well-liked by spectators.
But as her profession shifted from providing updates on the nice British weather to tracking the terrible march of the climate disaster, she found herself spending her time-fighting climate deniers.
They are anticipating 41C, Tobin announced in her weather forecast at 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
As she sat and looked at her map and spoke with the person who creates her weather graphics, she started to cry.
She declared that she predicted it, it will happen, it is absolute reality, and it will happen.
In the world of forecasting, they couldn't believe it.

When Tobin connected the heatwave to a climate breakdown, some of her viewers didn't take the high temperatures as seriously and accused her of scaremongering and complained on social media.

Some demanded that she be imprisoned for her climate predictions, while others referred to her as "Dr. Doom."
She said that people think that it's someone else's problem and they don't want to hear it.
They say she should just tell them about the weather, not talk about climate change.

Thousands of people shared several of them during the heat wave, but they also garnered criticism.

If a person feels that there is a power imbalance, one cannot persuade them, according to Prof. van der Linden.

It can take months or even years to fall into the rabbit hole of conspiratorial thinking.
One just can't win someone over with just one chat, according to Prof. van der Linden, one has to be content with tiny gains, and compromise.
