Due to France's inland temperature reaching a record high of 37C, the beginning of July is expected to be scorching, especially for the southeast.

Jim Dale, a senior meteorologist at British Weather Services, has predicted that some areas of England will experience these humid temperatures.

Cities like Paris and Lyon will record these temperatures. In an exclusive interview with Express, he stated "As we leave June and enter July, the answer is yes."

It won't be as scorching as it was during the last heat wave, but it will be quite warm or even hot following a chilly, rainy spell that is still to come.

A highly pressurized system from the Portuguese island chain of the Azores is to blame for the current weather.

Highs in several regions of France and Germany starting on Thursday, June 30, suggesting a probable impact on the UK by Friday, July 1.

Although the Met Office's long-range forecast suggests that it will be warm, it won't declare a heatwave until the data is more certain.

It stated that as high pressure rises, conditions appear to grow more stable by the beginning of July.

Temperatures that are initially near to or below average before becoming well above average later in the term.

The UK is expected to experience a "fleeting" heat wave, but the Met Office is unsure how long these temperatures will last.

Forecasters advise Glastonbury festival visitors to prepare for the weather

As the big artists hit the stage on Friday, a bright start gives way to heavy rains, so festival-goers will be reaching for the sunscreen and then the wellies, as per The Guardian.

The first of the 200,000 visitors would get lots of sunshine and highs of 26C (79F) or 27C on Wednesday and Thursday, according to Helen Caughey, the Met Office's deputy chief meteorologist.

However, the weather is unclear starting on Friday.

For this year's festival, Caughey advised that you bring both sunhats and raincoats.

On Friday and Saturday, there is a chance of strong thunderstorms and rain in the area of Worthy Farm in rural Somerset.

This might make Billie Eilish and Paul McCartney's headlining performances seem spectacular if a little damp.

Although the downpours are not anticipated to linger long, Caughey warned that some surface water may build. In Glasto land, surface water may possibly mean knee-deep.

Sunday is predicted to start out fairly dry and sunny but develop showers again throughout the morning, some of which may be heavy and perhaps thunderous, according to Caughey.

Up to the beginning of the next week, the pattern of instability is anticipated to prevail.

Anyone who has been to Glastonbury or lived in Britain is aware that one day may have both sunlight and rain.

However, bizarre occurrences like electrical storms that have caused pandemonium in previous years seem to indicate that Glastonbury occasionally exists in its own peculiar environment.

The uncertain weather will almost likely not lessen anticipation for Glastonbury's two-year Covid-19 break. On Wednesday, regardless of weather, gates open at 8am.
