Recently declassified transcripts from NASA's 1969 Apollo 10 mission have revived some old toilet humor on the mission after a log of the astronauts' communications revealed a comedy about floating poop.

PC Mag reported the hijinks after a keen Reddit user found the scene in the logs.

The incident took place on day six of the eight-day mission to the moon and back from May 18-26, 1969, which was the final test mission for the equipment used during the Apollo 11 moon landing a few months later.

In the transcript, Apollo 10 commander Thomas Stafford (identified as "CDR" in the flight transcript) says:

"Give me a napkin quick. There's a turd floating through the air."

Command module pilot John Young ("CPM") and lunar module pilot Eugene Cernan ("LMP") both quickly deny ownership of the floater.

Cernan said, laughing, "I don't know whose that is. I can neither or disclaim it."

These humorous space logs come shortly after a recent proposal to use human excrement to shield an upcoming Mars flyover mission from cosmic radiation.
